End Vacuum

Is this a vacuum hose coming from the front differential of my 1997 Jeep Wrangler?
I just purchased my first Jeep and noticed that there is a 1/2 to 5/8 inch hose coming from the top of the front differential. Is this some type of vacuum hose and where does the other end connect? I don’t notice and problems while driving ,but it must me semi -important or it wouldn’t be there. THANKS!
like the other guy said its just a breather hose but it should have a cap on it that prevent dirt and crap from getting in. You’ll want to tie it up high so water can’t get sucked in or you’ll trash the differential.
